In some languages, sea lions are referred to as the “dogs of the sea.” In English, we occasionally call them “assholes.” That’s because they keep getting up onto shore and terrorizing beachgoers. Whether in search of food or just a little playtime with the good people of California, there’s been an uptick in reports of people being harassed by the semi-aquatic creatures. Just give them what they want, and no one will get hurt.
